WHEN ARE THE GAMES HELD?

All games are held on weekdays. The events doors open around 6pm, and the games begin at 6:20pm.

HOW DO I JOIN?

You can join our mailing list or RSVP to a game on the front page of our website. Doing either means you will be sent periodic e-mails with upcoming games and any news.

WHAT GAMES ARE PLAYED?

All games are run as No-Limit Texas Hold'Em. This is the most popular form of poker. Sometimes during a cash game, with the mutual consent of all the players, the game variant can be switched up to games like Omaha or Draw.

WHERE ARE THE GAMES HELD?

All games are held in the Civil Service Club, Westminster. The Map on the Home page can point you to the right place. The exact room will be on the screen at the front desk.

WHAT IS A POKER TOURNAMENT?

These are poker games where every player posts a set 'buy-in' and receives the same amount of chips as everyone else. The game is then played until every player has been knocked out and only one player has all the chips. Payouts are top-heavy and generally pay the top 10-20% of players.

WHAT IS A CASH GAME?

These are the original form of poker; the chips you have at the table represent exact cash value. This is a competitive game where you can apply more pressure and demands a higher skill level. Players may buy-in and cash out whenever they choose.

WHO RUNS THE GAMES?

Dory and James the Tank represent the Board of the CSPL and host all of the games. The Chairman, Dory, can be contacted at the details below.

WHAT IS THE LEAGUE?

The League is an additional element to our monthly Tournaments that rewards those that attend the most games and post good, consistent scores. Scoring in 10th or better will award you points. Players accrue points for all of their above 10th wins in the monthly League tournaments. The Top 10 scorers at the end of every year in December are invited to a Grand Final.
